in my test shoot, in which i had time to only do just one whole take, i ran into a few problems. the biggest problem i ran into was space and how to fully utilize the space on camera and occupy the space sufficiectly in the movement in the acting and action. i as you can see in the test shoot, the kitchen that i was in is very narrow. if this was a actual cook show, i dont think that i could have pulled or even attempt to pull this off. since this is for the average college student, this might seem fitting.
i didnt to much like my stove shots because entrance way to the kitchen. i also didnt like the microwave shot either. in the video i said the i was going to move it. i see now after the test shoot that ima need to learn a 3 camera set up which talking with my room mate, will help my transitions alot better. which now made me think about my script and how i can simplify it.
i really did like the lighting. it was just how i imagined it to be in my head. and after adjusting the white scale, it really made me feel better about my lighting situation, all though there is still some lighting adjustments need to better improve my whole film.
now my acting..... i really need to practice more. i saw alot on what i need to improve in my short lived practice shoot. i need stronger jestures and alot more enthusiaism to my character. me just acting as my normal self... noo... nooo.... that aint gonna do!
i thought about other camera angle set ups in the kitchen such as putting the camera in cabinet, which i might still do; or as to set it up on the counter, i really dont think that will work. but who knows, i might try and see.
over all, my practice shoot showed me alot of small things that i over looked. so ima go back in do so some more improvement to the small and minor details i tend to over look every now and then. ima bit nervous but i cant wait for the finalle!
