1. What is unclear about your proposed piece? The major thing that was so unclear about my piece is the visual. im really starting to see how that scene block in is really essential to my pieces clarity.
2. What needs to be further developed? Character build up and actions, and my scene blocks.
3. What could be pushed further? The build up of my 4th character ''big sis'' could push this a bit forward
4. Describe the overall style/look and feel of your proposed piece. I want that homey, family togetherness fell in my piece that you would get from shows like "Family Matters" or "Step by Step". im really shooting towards relationships depicted among the characters. how the mother is a friend but still the mother or/and how siblings interact with each other. i dont really want to dwell on big issues and conflicts such as these shows
5. What do you wish to translate to the viewer with your chosen “look”? relationships shared among a family.
6. How will you achieve this look? my main way i want to achieve this look is through acting which i know will be dangerous. i want to use comedy as well.
7. Why is your idea interesting? because its original. its in the lives of a family that has a close relationship with each other and how they interact with each other, in spite of there physical distance away from each other.
8. Why should it be made? its new and hot. it shows the interaction among a family that is distant.
9. What problems are you encountering during pre-production? How do you plan to troubleshoot? the only problem i had in the production package is naming the "not main" characters actual problems that stops them from reaching there goals and there goals themselves. what i did was tie them in with the main characters actions and goals.
10. Who is crewing for you? My mother, who will play the Kasame, my little sis who will play the character of Twin, my little brother will play chris or i might play myself (still in debate from last times exp.) and Big Sis, (will be found by the end of the day) myself as the stage setter and director and makeup artist with.
11. What problems did you encounter in video 1? How will you avoid repeating the same problems? well.....lets see, where do i start.... acting and personality. i really did grab the audience like i thought i would. this time i really would like to immerse my audience into the world of my main character. i really want to use the acting of the main character to do this and also find some dynamic camera angles. i want better costumes. my lighting sucked and i want to further push it. staging, i felt was after showing my piece was pretty horribly handle. i know i could have done better. (just have to take and find the time handle it wisely this time.) really take into note of the sound of the environment im shooting in ( didnt think that the humming from the fridge was soo strong.) this time i have well written out scripts of how i want things run. this time, my work is a little more personal so. and the biggest thing.... most important thing that made me mad is someone else handling my camera but most importantly, me not directing them how i want it shot and handled and me reviewing what was shoot before i hand it off to the next person. overall, i learned a alot. (usually 9/10 i learn better the hard way.) so with this said, you should see a way better piece than last time... oh.. and i need to better choose my crew, i was let down on the last piece. and i had problem in my edits and transition.
